Lia and I had a lovely wander along the shore at Carnach this afternoon.

It was so quiet and peaceful, with stunning views from a different angle for us. Decent waking boots required as can be a bit wet in places and of course stoney.

Take the road from the cottage towards Ardmore/ Trumpan. You will pass the War Memorial on the right then the community hall. The number of houses are building up again. You will pass a church on right then a right turn, then another church. There is then a left turn signed Carnach. Go to the bottom of the road and park but please respect the parking for the house.

We wandered along the shore to the left of the house. We walked for about half an hour. You could walk a lot further and may be able to walk all the way back to Stein but you would need to be aware of the tides.

There were quite a few of these hairy caterpillars.

Not sure what that was all about!
